HOFMANN, LISA; MADRID VILLANUEVA, LUZI
Luzi Madrid Villanueva absolviert 2019 ihren Abschluss als staatlich anerkannte Bühnentänzerin in Berlin und ist seitdem in verschiedenen künstlerischen Projekten tätig. In ihren Werken verbindet sie verschiedene Kunstformen. Lisa Hofmann, zeitgenössische Performerin und studierte Soziologin sowie Medienwissenschaftlerin, arbeitet als freischaffende Künstlerin in unterschiedlichen, multidisziplinären und internationalen Projekten. 2020 gründeten sie twoBetween als projektbasiertes Performance Art Duo, in dem sie einen neuen und innovativen Stil zeitgenössischer Performance erforschen und in einem multidisziplinären Ansatz zeitgenössische Kreationen schaffen. Ursprünglich aus Deutschland, arbeiten und kreieren sie mittlerweile zwischen Italien, den Niederlanden und Deutschland. Dabei beschäftigen sie sich mit den Fragen: Worum geht es in unserem Leben? Und wie können wir einen größeren Zustand, ein Problem oder eine globale Situation in etwas Kleinem und Gewöhnlichem zeigen? Etwas, das scheinbar nichts ist. Daher ist ihre Arbeit an unserem täglichen Leben und psychologischen Mustern inspiriert, die wir als Menschen schaffen.

The experimental essayfilm Elektropolis – a guide to what kind of revolution? consolidates Vilém Flusser's deep sea squid Vampyroteuthis Infernalis, the narrative of the Klingenberg Power Plant in Berlin and the Russian revolution from Alexandra Kollontaj's point of view. The film is produced by the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts with support of Constanze Ruhm, Diedrich Diederichsen and Peter Kaboth.
SCHNEIDER, ANNA-MARIA; MEINERS, LINNÉA
Linnéa Meiners studied at the University of the Arts Berlin, the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. She concentrates on aesthetics of withstanding in context of experimental film and she consults on arts and politics.
Anna-Maria Schneider studied media production at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Ostwestfalen-Lippe. She is self-employed as a documentary film maker and engaged in the cultural sector. 2015 she was decorated with the cultural award of the Landesverband Lippe.

FLOKATI ist ein Musikvideo über die Strahlkraft von Reizobjekten. Dabei verwebt der Film seine Erzählebenen in den RGB-Farbtönen eines Röhrenfernsehers und versucht dadurch die Bilder abzuzeichnen, die sich sonst nur in unserem Unterbewusstsein abspielen. Was macht das Fernsehbild so schön? Was macht den Teppich so flauschig? Und wann wird Komfort zum komatösen Zustand? Ein assoziatives Musikvideo zwischen strahlenden Oberflächen und flüchtigen Sehnsüchten, begleitet von der Frage, wie Medien uns Wunschbilder diktieren, die dafür sorgen, dass uns niemand den Teppich unter den Füßen wegzieht.
BACKHAUS, LUCA; LUDWIG, STEFFEN
Luca Backhaus und Steffen Ludwig sind selbstständige Filmemacher & Studenten der Technischen Hochschule OWL. Sie sind beide in Paderborn geboren und dort auch seit 2015 als Kollektiv Woodhouse Films mit filmischen Arbeiten aktiv. Dabei sind im Laufe der Jahre u. a. inszenierte Kurzfilme, Dokumentationen, Poetry Clips und Musikvideos entstanden. Der Film FLOKATI entstand im Sommer 2019 in Zusammenarbeit mit der Paderborner Indie-Folkband Mount Winslow und stellt den bis dato wichtigsten Entwicklungspunkt in der Verbindung aller bisherigen Arbeiten dar.

How do you become who you are? Through the insults you experience, believes freelance journalist and author Dirk Gieselmann. One late evening, he is alone in his apartment. His camera is set up in front of him, with which he records himself. In doing so, he first introduces himself personally and announces that he will call three people. In the telephone calls that follow, he confronts his conversation partners with long-ago encounters, experienced ruthlessness and the accusation that they drove him out of the paradise of childhood. That evening, he wants to know what the reasons were for the insults and hopes to be able to make sense of them. He realizes that his childhood has finally come to an end and remembers the world of thoughts that surrounded him when he was a little boy. Then he receives an unexpected call from his family.
The film is based on the short story My Way by freelance journalist and author Dirk Gieselmann.
EPKENHANS, ROBIN
After completing an internship in the video department of the Schauspielhaus Dortmund, Robin Epkenhans studied photography and visual media in the design department of the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld. He completed his studies with the short film project GIESELMANN. In addition to his studies, he also produced numerous photographic and film works, including the documentaries ALS DER JAGUAR NACH HERFORD KAM (D2019, 131 min.) and WERNER WE LOVE YOU (D2021, 90 min.). He is currently studying for a master’s degree in Film at the University of Applied Sciences Dortmund.
His father, Rainer Bärensprung was also involved as a director, producer and screenplay writer for the GIESELMANN project.

LAUX, MAX
Max Laux was born in 2000 in Wernigerode, but grew up in Freckenfeld, a quaint village in Rhineland-Palatinate. Currently he is studying media-production with a main focus on film, at the Technical University of East Westphalia Lippe. During his first year studies he co-founded the media agency “Removal UG“ and took the chance to create commercials and promotional films for a number of clients. Through this he got to travel and work in Munster, Berlin and Vienna. As part of the “Kulturrucksack Programm NRW“, a program designed for children and young adults to support and help develop their creative and cultural interests and hobbies, he will be conducting a summer film camp for young adults. While studying, Max also used his time to write and make several short films. Original, quirky and at times unusual, his stories are told through peculiar characters and a very own sense of aesthetic. “Who’s Johnny“ is a horror comedy set in an 80s inspired ambiance, that with the help of a cursed stuffed teddy and a nameless creature, deals with the meaning of acceptance. Max plans to take on the career path of becoming a director as one day he wants to direct feature films.

WITTRIN, DOMINIC
Dominic Wittrin was born in 1994 in Braunschweig. He began to shoot his very first short films in school. After beginning to study acting at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover and several set experiences, he decided to tell stories behind the camera. His first short film “the day I chose the night“ was shot in 2019 as a free project. Starting in 2019 he studies media production majoring in directing and screenplay at the Technische Hochschule OWL. “Sweet freedom“ is his first film during his time at the university.

TRAUMA erzählt eine kurze Episode aus dem Leben des Oberfeldwebels Böhme. Wir begegnen dem von Erlebnissen im Krieg gezeichneten Soldaten in einem Gespräch mit einer Militärpsychologin und mit seinem Major, in dem dieser ihm offenbart, dass er in einen weiteren Einsatz gehen muss. Er setzt ihn mit militärischem Pflichtgefühl und existenziellen Sorgen unter Druck. Gegenüber der Psychologin versucht der Soldat seine posttraumatischen Belastungsstörungen zu verheimlichen. Der Oberfeldwebel ist auf der einen Seite sehr geprägt durch seine militärische Laufbahn, hat großes Pflichtgefühl und ein konservatives Bild von Männlichkeit und Kameradschaft. Auf der anderen Seite ist er durch seinen Beruf und die Erfahrungen aus dem Einsatz enorm traumatisiert.
HERZOG, JULIUS
Geboren am 11. Oktober 1996 in Lemgo; Abitur 2015 am Marianne-Weber-Gymnasium Lemgo; 2015-2017: Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg: Politikwissenschaft und Philosophie BA (ohne Abschluss); seit 2017: TH OWL Medienproduktion BA. Julius hatte von klein auf eine Leidenschaft für das Erzählen von Geschichten. Vor allem visuelles Storytelling und ein starkes Interesse am Film führten ihn zum Studium Medienproduktion nach Lemgo (jetzt Detmold), wo er hauptsächlich als Drehbuchautor und Regisseur Kurzfilme, Musikvideos, Werbespots und Dokumentationen entwickelte.
